When clay meets imagination, figurative art gains new stories through your hands. This workshop invites you to explore the popular imagination: let's get our hands dirty with clay and bring unique characters to life, inspired by the ceramics of the Barcelos Pottery Museum.

The experience begins with a guided tour of the museum, a moment dedicated to observing, photographing, drawing, and letting yourself be inspired by the colours, shapes, and stories of traditional figurative art. Then it's time to transform ideas into matter: from sketch to clay, each participant will sculpt their own creature, exploring modelling and decoration techniques with engobes.

Amidst conversation, shared experiences, and lots of creativity, the clay acquires expression, personality, and narrative.
