The Documentation Centre of the Pottery Museum is specialised in Portuguese ceramics, with a particular focus on Pottery and Figurado de Barcelos. It also covers other technical and scientific areas such as Archaeology, Art, Sculpture, Ethnography, and Painting, across various formats.

The centre's collection includes:

• 3,800 monographs;
• 2,500 periodicals;
• 100 theses and academic papers;
• Films and photographs;
• Graphic material (posters, leaflets, brochures, etc.).

Consultation of the Documentation Centre’s archive is done in person and requires prior appointment.
