Figurado Workshop by Domingos Francisco and Paulo Ferreira

Barcelos Figurado Art is the art of imagining the world with a piece of clay in your hands. What many people do not know is that clay can be used to materialize dreams, solidify what does not exist, and bring to life the creatures that were once stories told by old people. After being fired and given a few brush strokes, the imagined creatures and figurines almost come to life. The aim of this workshop is for participants to give free rein to their imagination without fear. They will be encouraged to create figurines from their imagination and fantasy using clay, learning the basic techniques for working with this material. At a second stage, the pieces will be painted with the same immediacy with which they were made.

Aimed at young people and adults.

Participation in both sessions is mandatory.

Minimum age for participation: 12 years.
