These pieces are almost always imbued with an aesthetic sense where delicate, yet perpetually sinuous lines predominate. The works often feature somewhat bucolic or popular themes, where the characters depicted are not static. On the contrary, they seem to be in full motion – talking, working, dancing, drinking, or playing. Men, women, young people, and children appear to pass by one another, exchanging glances, conversations, and even secrets.
