GENERATION CÔTA EXHIBITION
The Pottery Museum opens on February 4th at 6pm two exhibitions “Generation Côta” and “By the hands of Côta” within the 2nd show of a Cycle of Exhibitions dedicated to the most charismatic families of figurines arts and crafts of Barcelos.
In a universe of 139 pieces, “Generation Côta” will have pieces by Júlia Côta, Rosa Côta and Prazeres Côta that belong to the Pottery Museum collection and from the private collection of Prazeres Côta, such as musicians and bandstands, nativity scenes, big headed men, dolls, oxen, popular saints, angels, devils, owls among others.
The exhibition “By the hands of Côta”, with 75 pieces which the majority are from the private collection of Júlia Côta, is highlighted the musicians, dolls, ox’s, table centres, big and small nativity scenes, bandstands, ox carts, in a variety of figurative arts and crafts some presenting whistles.
